Two Blue ($4.20) has found great form this time and remains outright favourite in 2015 Winter Stakes betting markets with Ladbrokes.com.au ahead of You’ll Never ($5) and talented Godolphin entrant Haussmann ($6).

Will Two Blue justify her resounding favouritism and win the 2015 Winter Stakes or will one of her many talented rivals find the line in the clear?

1st

Haussmann ($6)

Haussmann carries winning black type form into Saturday’s feature, has been confirmed to be partnered by James McDonald and arguably offers punters the best value for money at current odds in Winter Stakes betting markets. Posting seven wins and a further eleven minors through 34 career starts so far, Haussmann needed the run when eleventh in the Listed Luskin Star Stakes (1300m) first-up on May 16th but has since placed fifth in the TAB Rewards Plate (1400m) and won the Listed Civic Stakes (1350m).

2nd

Two Blue ($4.20)

The stable star for Kristen Buchanan, Two Blue has arguably found career-best form this time in and appears primed for maiden black type success in the 2015 Winter Stakes, and is therefore more than capable of a first three finish. Securing seven wins and a further twelve minors through 31 career starts so far, the Dubleo mare finished a credible fifth in the Ranvet BM85 (1200m) first-up; progressing to success in the TAB.com.au Handicap (1200m) and second in the Civic Stakes most recently. Allocated the ideal barrier 6, Two Blue will be partnered by regular hoop Paul King.

3rd

Rugged Cross ($12)

Rugged Cross has been a strong and consistent performer for Chris Waller this time, will leave from the rails draw with Brenton Avdulla aboard and has been charged with carrying only 56kgs in the 2015 Winter Stakes. Returning to racing for ninth in the Listed Hareeba Stakes (1200m) in March, the Cape Cross gelding placed third in the Group 3 Hawkesbury Gold Cup (1600m) on June 7th; placing fifth in the Perfection Fresh Handicap (1500m) before running fourth in the Listed Civic Stakes (1350m) on July 4th.
