Classy five-year-old Peace Force has returned to racing in great condition this season and has been confirmed to target the featured Group 1 Tattersall’s Tiara (1400m) on the Gold Coast on June 20th following a strong win at Doomben most recently.
Posting a commendable seven wins and as many minor place finishes through 18 career starts so far, Peace Force returned this time for a close second to Solicit in the Group 3 Darley Crown (1300m) on May 9th, but booked her path to the 2015 Tattersall’s Tiara when taking out the Group 3 Glenlogan Park Stakes (1350m) most recently on May 23rd.
Having been understandably thrilled with the results posted by the daughter of Bernardini this time, trainer Gerald Ryan told AAP he is confident the conditions of the 2015 Tattersall’s Tiara and the Gold Coast will suit and is confident she will lay a great account for herself.
“She must have got a whack in the eye but we don’t know how it happened,” Ryan said.
“We had to treat her which meant she couldn’t run on Saturday.
“But she hasn’t missed any work and has won off a month break before, so it’s no concern going into the Tiara a bit fresh.”
Beginning her career under the guidance of John O’Shea before he took up the position as head trainer at Godolphin Australia, Peace Force has arguably found career-best condition since arriving in the care of Ryan prior to the Spring Carnival.
Running third in the Harvey Norman BM75 (1400m) and second in the Hyland Race Colours BM80 (1400m) in late October and early November, Peace Force posted consecutive victories in each of her nest three competitive starts and returned to the paddock after finishing second in the Group 3 Belle Of The Turf Stakes (1600m) on January 9th.
2015 Tattersall’s Tiara nominations are due by midday, June 15th while a final field and barrier draw will be completed and released two days later.
