Red Tracer is on track to win her first Group 1 race in the 2012 Tattersall’s Tiara this Saturday June 23, 2012.
After winning at Listed, Group 3, and Group 2 level, Red Tracer will be out to combat her final hurdle in Australian racing.
The four-year-old mare won the Group 2 Dane Ripper Stakes at Eagle Farm on June 2, 2012, by 0.2 lengths.
Trainer Chris Waller is confident the Dane Shadow mare will have improved off her last start.
“We left her up in Queensland in the warmer weather,” Waller said.
“Her coat looks better than it did before her last run and she’s at a good stage.”
The wet tracker will be hoping for some rain to fall on Brisbane before the 2012 Tattersall’s Tiara to increase her chances.
“Obviously rain would be beneficial. It’s dead or worse for her,” Waller said.
“We’ve had this race in mind all along and she’s still got fresh legs after a soft early winter.”
Red Tracer has won eight of his 18 race starts and has earned more than $650,000 in prize money.
Online betting will be available for the 2012 Tattersall’s Tiara closer to this Saturday’s race.
